Thorncrown Chapel

On the way to Eureka, we stopped at the Thorncrown Chapel (https://thorncrown.com/index.html). This was designed by Fay Jones, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright and the designer of the Walton family home. It was the idea of Jim Reed who had bought the property for his retirement home, but due to the number of people coming to see the view, he decided to build a glass chapel instead. He ran out of money, but he prayed and enough donations came in to finish the project. The chapel does a brisk trade in weddings. Nearby Eureka Springs has many hotels and many wedding support shops.
