Our big day was capped by the The Great Passion Play. This outdoor play involves about 150 actors and dozens of animals. A flock of sheep and goats runs through the main setting three times. The camel was unruly. The event started out with a call for donations by a man using “Amen” like punctuation. Then the national anthem was sung by a soprano who was probably breaking glass. The show seemed really campy at first, but ended up being very well done.
