Rainbow River

Our first big adventure! We stayed at the Rainbow River State Park and tubed down the river. Water was clear and cold, but the rain didn't start until we were on the tram back to the campground.

After lunch, we visited the headsprings area which used to be a tourist attraction with a leaf-themed monorail, boats with underwater windows

Tubers

, a zoo, and other such items. Allison remembers going here in about sixth grade for a field trip. The attraction closed in the early 70’s when Disney World and I-75 diverted the tourists.
