Monroeville Detour

We left the motorhome at the Five Flags RV park in Pensacola and drove the Jeep to Monroeville, Alabama to visit Haden and Tim Tirey and stay the night. Haden is one of Allison's best buddies from Auburn (War Eagle!). Monroeville is the home of Harper Lee, author of To Kill a Mockingbird and the courthouse exterior is included in the movie version. Haden and Tim run the FBO at the airport which is also the home of Pilots for Christ (http://pilotsforchrist.net), providing transportation to people who need to get medical treatment.

In other trivia, Truman Capote had cousins in Monroeville that he used to visit!
